Although Independence Day is this coming Friday, with a great fireworks display by the city,
Astoria still holds their own. Head to Astoria Park on Monday June 30 to see the show. Bring a blanket, some snacks, and your friends! The Glen Miller Orchestra will play classic favorites to accompany the Grucci Fireworks Display. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., best view is from the Astoria Park Lawn (Shore Blvd between Hellgate Bridge and the pool). I went last year and had a great time. It's fun for everyone!
