New French Bistro in Town - Les Minots

I've become aware of the presence of a new French bistro in town - Les Minots on 30th Ave and 47th Street. Perusing the website, it certainly looks promising, with prix fixe lunch and dinner menus, as well as a la carte and brunch menus. I'm particularly intrigued by brunch (it's one of my favorite meals). They also deliver. Events are in the works, including what sounds like a fun Sunday evening - a $19.95 prix fixe dinner and a movie. I hope to check it out soon and will report back when I do.

We saw this post this morning, and decided to go! We already had brunch plans. There were 7 of us, they were able to seat us right away- you can't see from the front, there's room in the back. They served bread and butter, and a little glass of a "secret recipe" fruity drink. Prices were reasonable- entrees from $8-$13, with a prix fixe at $14 that included one drink and coffee/tea. Service was a little on the slow side, but we were having a good time chatting so it wasn't too bad. And the food was pretty good! All in all, a welcome addition to the neighborhood- I love french food, I'm going to have to go back for dinner.

I want to try their mussels - I'm a big fan of these and want to see how they measure up. The prix-fixe sounds great too. I walked by today and it was definitely bustling. Thanks for the heads-up Meg.

My husband and I went last night. My one complaint is that the service was a bit slow and they ran out of dessert, but the food was very good. We got onion soup which was cheesy and terrific. My husband got the monkfish (very nice!) and I got the Moules Frites Mariniere, and they were great. I am a total sucker for mussels and frites. Very reasonably priced and the owners/waiters were so friendly. We'll be back!

I went a few nights ago and really enjoyed the food. The steak-frites, frites with truffle oil and parmesan, and the nutella crepes with vanilla gelato will keep me coming back.

Les Minots (kids) is a wonderful place to eat authentic French food. $19.95 for a three course dinner is a reasonable price. Their Croque-Madame is delicious. Recommended.
