Um, so I just learned that April is National Grilled Cheese Month. Wish I'd known it sooner! My pick for the tastiest grilled cheese in Astoria is from Sparrow, pictured above. It is truly delicious. Another good "grilled cheese", though it's not in the classic style, is the mozzarella, tomato, and pesto panino at Il Bambino.

I know there's manouri and possibly speck or bacon. Flooz would know better!
it was so long ago, i must go back and retry this! all i know is there were like 3 cheeses and bacon. i preferred the bacon to the speck actually. and the multi grain bread was delish too!
I triple love this sandwich. I get it without meat and it's still magically delicious.
Cheese month is one thing but Grilled Cheese Month, it is a childhood dream fully realized. Looks like early lunch. Good post
