Tonight is the monthly Transportation Alternatives Queens Committee meeting. It will be held at the Greater Astoria Historical Society at 6:30 p.m., 4th floor of the Quinn Building, 35-20 Broadway, Astoria (map)There will be two special presentations tonight: Richard Melnick will talk about the Queensboro Bridge and its history, and Emilia Crotty will speak about the upcoming Sunnyside Block Party.
They will also discuss the cycling and pedestrian friendly events that are going on this August in Queens.
